Our day started with an international trip to the DRC!! We walked the two kilometers to the border of Congo and crossed over the newly constructed bridge. We were then treated to a tour of the new immigration/infectious disease control building.
After returning for a mid morning snack of 'rolex'🤣 we persuaded John to take us to the local market in Paidha - where we found fabric and plastic kettles, along with goat heads and dried fish 🤣
After lunch, we all want to Prayer Mountain where we visited three of the nine stations of prayer. Pastor Song, the founder of the retreat, gave us a guided tour and a thorough history. It was a very tranquil and holistic place for quiet contemplation. One week a year, over 1000 students come for Diocesan Spiritual camp!
After a trip to the Women's Development centre to see (and buy!) rather beautiful embroidery, we finished the day with Andrew and his wife Eunice (both who work and live in the Goli diocese) for pizza and scones! A thoroughly good day😁
