A great night's sleep followed by a very leisurely morning. Breakfast was our first taste of rolex, omelette rolled inside chapatti, and fresh passion fruit juice, a delicious treat.
Janet and Sarah T had a quick visit to the Women's Vocational Training Centre to talk to Sunday Dugera and deliver the embroidery threads before she left Goli for the day. We saw the tailoring and hairdressing classrooms and guest house and heard about how the idea for the embroidery project Threads of Blessing came into being and how it has now expanded to cover 640 women across 13 Dioceses. Later in the afternoon, we met a local group sewing the most beautiful designs.
Janet was able to spend time with Scovia in her home. Scovia is now in the early stages of labour and Violet who supports the Mothers' Union will manage the Girl Child Project during Scovia's maternity leave.

Everyone had a most relaxing morning, a bit of laundry, lots of chat helped along by sulus: tiny bite size doughnuts.
After lunch, more hilarious chat about our weird school days and a fashion show of our dresses from Kitgum, we joined Bishop Pons and his team at the Diocesan Offices for a guided tour and introduction to the staff.
A representative group of the young girl mothers with their babies sang to us twice, Janet happily being given one of the babies to hold. There are at least 300 girlchild mothers just in the parish around Goli. We were shown the products of the vocational training - liquid soap, blue and yellow soap and pads. Blue soap is sold for 5000 shillings which in the market would fetch 7000 shillings, so they have many customers. Most of us now have to find space for a length of blue soap in our luggage! It was so good to meet and chat with the girls.

Evening tea was taken with two students being sponsored by Christchurch, one of whom (Elvis) sang unaccompanied a song of praise he had composed whilst unable to walk.
Sitting in the dark in a power cut, we were brought a sample of a wedding dress which the Women's Centre hire out, including Janet's.
