On Wednesday the Northern group joined Bishop Godfrey and his staff for morning devotions. It was so moving to pray together.
We were then taken to a historic site called Musalaba, which means cross in Buganda. It is the place where the gospel was first preached to Acholi people by CMS missionaries in 1904.
Canon Willy Akena gave us a history lesson on why the mission station was set up here but moved a few years later ( snakes, lightening, wild animals, lack of water etc).
We saw the tree where the gospel was first preached and the early church met. It was very moving to see the memorial stone and the list of the first converts who were baptised.

It was such an inspiring visit, praise God!
We drove back to Kitgum where we found a small but perfectly stocked supermarket where we bought, tea leaves, a toy and a picture frame!
